TITLE: NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH
AUTHOR: GEORGE KERSHAW
SUMMARY OF THE BOOK:
It’s a novel of adventure about a teenager named Hu who was living with her parents. She was seventeen years old and was studying at the Bangkok International Academy where all the children of foreigners who were working in Thailand and this academy was very expensive.
This book discusses the problems of a teenager that his father wanted that she will study medicine but she still didn’t know that she will do.
This tells the life of this good student during the course. And your main problem with the English teacher, who said to her that is a bad student and suspended her because He want to give extra classes and get money, but finally We found that he wasn’t a professor and disappears.
and also has other events that happen during the course as a field trip to “Kao Yai National Park” the oldest and largest of Thailand’s National Park where were elephants, tigers, orchids, etc. Where all student had a great adventure because they were lost and were rescued.
Other was, in the school did a Show “The Wizard of Oz” where they Would have to sing and act and after She did test and She was the first because her mother helped to her, She was opera singer before marrying and she gave the role of Dorothy what finally all end up well, Hu did the Doroty in the show that was success and the director of the Bangkok Operatic Society said to Hu and parents that she was professional singer and a doctor.
DESCRIBE THE MAIN CHARACTER: WHAT DOES S/HE LOOK LIKE AND WHAT IS S/HE LIKE?
The principal actor names Hu Jian Ming from China is a teenager, a bit naive, and doesn’t speak with their father about her problems until the end, but it is good and very friendly.
WHERE DOES THE STORY TAKE PLACE? SETTING, PERIOD OF TIME, ETC.
Place: In an International School in Bangkok for foreigners who are working in Thailand. It’s for rich families.
She describe where she was born in Wu Xi is a beautiful countryside in China with lakes and hill where still is living her grandmother.
She describes The Kao Yai National Park, too.
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION OF THE BOOK? WOULD YOU RECOMMED IT TO OTHER STUDENTS? WHY OR WHY NOT?
I really like this book is very interesting talks about a teenage girl and her problems, her relationships, her adventures and the finally is very exciting because is unexpected.
I recommend this book all the people; if you want to spend a nice and pleasant time until the end you should read this book.
